Thom Yorke
PIANOs
| Yamaha Upright Piano | |
Adopted by the band in 2000 for Pyramid Song, You and Whose Army?, Karma Police (used by Jonny instead of the Rhodes) and lately for the awesome live version of Like Spinning Plates. Also used by Thom on a lot of HTTT songs. |
| Rhodes Suitcase
Mark I Piano |
A famous electric piano first used by Thom
during the OK Computer tour for Subterranean Homesick Alien and
Nude/Big Ideas and then for Morning Bell and Everything in Its Right
Place.

SYNTHs & KEYs
| Korg Prophet 5 |
A sequential circuits synth used by Thom on Motion Picture Soundtrack and probably to record Everything in Its Right Place on Kid A. It hasn’t been used anymore since it broke during the South Park gig in Oxford on 7-7-2001: too bad... :-( It was used along an Electro-Harmonix Microsynth effect. |
| Novation Bass Station |
Used in 2002 on the early version of Myxomatosis, it is now used for Backdrifts and Kid A (as a midi controller). |
| Yamaha QY 70 Sequencer/Workstation |
This small sequencer is used for electronic compositions: Thom probably uses it like a sort of sketch book for his musical ideas and embryons of songs. In fact you can see Thom using it on MPIE when the band goes to Australia and those notes in the background sound similar to the first notes of Sit Down Stand Up... |
