Thom Yorke
| Fender Telecaster Deluxe | ||
| A vintage black model from '73, featuring two humbuckers, a large pickguard and a 21 frets neck with the typical wide headstock. This guitar is now used by Thom on Just, My Iron Lung, 2+2=5, I Will. Thom now uses Dunlop Nylon .73 mm picks. |
|
Thom's model has been highly modified: the 2 tone knobs have been removed to put the pick-up selector and the output jack, one of the 2 volume knob has been pulled out and the remaining one has probably been turned to a master volume knob. |
| Fender Telecaster Custom | ||
|
Another vintage model from the 70s with a standard pick-up configuration (single-coil in the bridge and humbucker in the neck), a large pickguard and a neck with 21 frets just like the Telecaster Deluxe. |
|
It also has the same modifications made on the Deluxe plus the saddles in the bridge turned to nowadays American Standard. Thom uses his Telecaster Custom on Talk Show Host, The Tourist and Where I End and You Begin. |
| Fender Jazzmaster | ||
|
A black
Jazzmaster with a white pickguard has been picked up by Thom
after the theft in Denver. It's probably a vintage model with
standard features and
it's been used by Thom on songs such as Airbag, Lucky and Street
Spirit.
Another Jazzmaster has been adopted by Thom for the 2002 tour, recognizable from the older one for its tortoise-shell pickguard, and used on Lucky and Lift. |

Gibson ES 125-T |
|
|
Two
recent models from the 90s with standard features. One is used on Lucky and the Bends, the other for the National Anthem (drop D tuning). A very old vintage model
from the 50s featuring a typical P-90 "dog ear" pick-up. Adopted by Thom since 2000, it's now the guitar used for the songs with clean or slightly distorted sounds like Street Spirit, In Limbo (up to 2001), Optimistic, Wicked Child and There There. An ES-125 (different bridge and bolder body) is used on Go To Sleep. |

Thinline Fender Telecaster |
|
|
A yellow
and very worn-looking model of Fender Telecaster. It features 2 humbuckers, the output in the place of the tone knob, a different pick-up selector and a 21 frets neck with a Strato-like headstock. It's been used by Thom during the OK Computer Tour on the most distorted tunes like The Bends, Pearly* and Electioneering. A favourite of Thom that's probably been stolen in 1995. Recognizable for its rising sun sticker it featured an additional double pick-up in the middle (see Astoria '94) which has been probably removed lately and whose hole has been covered with a standard white pickguard. |

| Fender Telecaster | ||
| Various
models of standard Telecaster have been used by Thom in the
early years. Among the others a black one with a “r” sticker which can be seen in the video of Creep. |
||
| Gibson SG |
||
| A Gibson SG has been a favourite
of Thom during On a Friday’s early periods and it’s been used on songs like Stop Whispering and Prove Yourself. Sadly it’s been stolen in Denver (1995). |

| Thinline Telecaster Copy by Fenix
|
||
| A yellow model sometimes used
by Thom during the early period. It featured 21 frets and, as
usual, the tone knob removed to place the jack.
